Cougar : FAST DRYING SPECIAL ENAMEL (READY TO SPRAY)
Description : This is a paint based on speciality, Alkyd Resin and incorporate
high quality Pigments. The paint gives a coating which exhibits-
a) Rapid Air Drying Properties.
b) Very Good Gloss and Gloss Retention.
c) Resistance to petrol, diesel and lub oil.
d) Excellent hardness, flexibility and adhesion
e) Resistance to corrosion.
f) Supplied at Ready to Spray viscosity.
Properties :
1. Physical Properties :
A) Finess Of Grind : 7+ on Hegman Gauge.
B) Supply Viscosity : 20 to 25 Seconds by ford cup B4 when
Packed at room temperature.
C) Specific Gravity : 0.950 + 0.05
D) Non Volatile Matter Percentage : 33 + 3
E) Flash Point : 23’C
F) Condition In Container : No hard lumps. Soft Settling if any will
Disperse uniformly when stirred.
2. Air Drying Properties :
A) Surface Dry : Within 10 – 15 Minutes.
B) Hard Dry : Overnight
3. Typical Dry Film Properties :
A) Hardness : Passes 1500 Gms. Minimum
B) Flexibility : Passes 6.25 MM Mandrel Test.
C) Adhesion : Passes Cross Cut Test.
D) Finish : Smooth and Glossy (for regular shades)
Smooth and Glossy with slight metallic finish (for Metallic Shades)
E) Shade : As specified.
Application : By Spray
1. Conventional Spray -
(a) Nozzle Orifice : 1.5 to 3 mm
(b) Nozzle Pressure : 3 – 5 Kg. / Sq.Cm.
2. Airless Spray -
(a) Nozzle Orifice : 0.38 to 0.48 mm
(b) Nozzle Pressure : 110 – 160 Kg. Sq.Cm.
Note : This data is indicative and subject to adjustment. We recommend the air pressure
to be adjusted to get an even / uniform finish as per applicator convenience (ease of
operation) and to be standardized.
Recommended Dry Film Thickness : 25 + 5 Microns
Recommended Thinner : Cougar Fast Drying Thinner
Recoating Interval : Wet on wet. If previous coat has dried up completely, a mist coat
should be sprayed followed by regular coat.
Pretreatment : Surface to be painted should be thoroughly cleaned, free from rust, dust
Particles, grease and oil. This should be ensured by mechanical /chemical Cleaning methods.

COUGAR Fast Drying Casting Sealer A.D.Grey(Ready to Spray)
Description : This is a Primer / Sealer based on high quality speciality alkyd
resin and incorporates high quality pigments to give a
protective corrosion resistant coating of outstanding merit.
This is supplied at ready to spray viscosity.
Properties :
1. Physical Properties :
(a) Fineness of Grind : 6 + on Hegman gauge.
(b) Supply Viscosity : 20 to 25 Seconds by ford cup B-4 when
packed at room temperature.
(c) Specific Gravity : 1.100 + 0.05
(d) Non Volatile Matter : 44 + 3
(e) Flash Point : Above 23’C
(f) Condition In Container : No Hard Lumps, Soft settling if any
will disperse easily, equally and when thoroughly
stirred.
2. Air Drying Properties (AT DFT of 20-25 Microns)
(a) Surface Dry : 15 – 20 Minutes.
(b) Hard Dry : Overnight.
3. Typical Dry Film Properties
(a) Hardness : 1500 Gms. Minimum
