Epoxy II Pack Paints
Product Description:
This is high build two pack air drying Polyamide cured Epoxy
composition. Fully cured paint film has very good hardness,
flexibility and adhesion. It has good resistance to water, acid,
alkalies and various solvents. It also good resistance to corrosion
and oil.
General Properties :
(a) Consistency : Ready for use when mixed well in recommended stoichiometric
Proportions.
(b) Mixing Ratio : Base : Hardner – 4:1
(c) Maturation Period : 30 Minutes
(d) Pot Life : 6 to 8 Hours at room temperature.
Physical Properties :
1. Fineness of Grind : 7+ on Hegman Gauge.
2. Specific Gravity : 1.050 + 0.050
3. Supply Viscosity : 35 + 5 Seconds by Ford Cup B4 at room temperature when packed.
4. Non Volatile Matter : 54 + 3 %
(Base Paint)
5. Condition In Container : No hard lumps. Soft settling if any will disperse uniformly
when stirred.
Air Drying Properties : (a) Surface Dry : Within 60 minutes
(b) Tack Free : Within 80 to 90 Minutes
(c) Hard Dry : Overnight
(d) Full Cure : 7 Days.
Dry Film Properties :
(a) Hardness : 2000 Gms. Minimum
(b) Flexibility : Passes 6.25 MM Mandrel Test.
(C) Adhesion : Passes Cross Cut Test
(d) Appearance : Smooth and Glossy
(e) Shade : AS SPECIFIED.
Application : Spray / Brush
Recommended Thinner : Cougar Epoxy Thinner
Pretreatment : Surface to be painted should be thoroughly clean, free from grease, oil, loose
and flamy materials and dry. This should be ensured by mechanical of chemical
cleaning methods.

COUGAR – EPOXY II PACK RED OXIDE ZINC CHROMATE PRIMER
Product Description: This is high build two pack Polyamide cured air drying Epoxy
composition with anticorrosive chrome pigments. The two packs
when thoroughly mixed in recommended proportions, cross link
together at room temperature to give a coating which has
excellent hardness, adhesion and chemical resistance. The
coating also exhibits excellent corrosion resistance.
General Properties :
(a) Consistency : Ready for use when mixed well in recommended stoichiometric
Proportions.
(b) Mixing Ratio : Base : Hardner – 4:1
(c) Maturation Period : 30 Minutes
(d) Pot Life : 6-8 Hours at room temperature.
Physical Properties :
1. Fineness of Grind : 6+ on Hegman Gauge.
2. Specific Gravity : 1.400 + 0.100
3. Supply Viscosity : 35 + 5 Seconds by Ford Cup B4 when packed.
4. (a) Non Vilatile Matter : 62 + 3 %
(Base Paint)
(b) Zinc Chrome Content : 16%
5. Condition In Container : No hard lumps. Soft settling if any will disperse uniformly
when stirred.
Dry Film Thickeness : 45 + 5 Microns Per Coat when sprayed at a viscosity of 20 to 25
Seconds by ford cup B4 by conventional spray.
Air Drying Properties : (a) Surface Dry : 30 minutes
(b) Tack Free : 60 Minutes
(c) Hard Dry : Overnight
(d) Full Cure : 7 Days.
Dry Film Properties :
(a) Hardness : 2000 Gms. Minimum
(b) Flexibility : Passes 6.25 MM Mandrel Test.
(C) Adhesion : Passes Cross Cut Test
(d) Reistance to Corrosion : Passes Minimum 168 Hours.
(e) Appearance : Smooth and Matt
(f) Shade : That of Red Oxide.
Application : Spray / Brush
Recoating Period : Minimum 16 Hours.
Maximum 96 Hours.
